Fashion & Textile Museum

 

The Fashion and Textile Museum is located in fashionable Bermondsey SE1, the funky pink and orange building it calls home was designed by architect Ricardo Legorreta.

Originally founded by fashion designer Zandra Rhodes The Academy @ FTM is part of Newham College which provides its students with the equipment, training and support in getting their creative designs into the market. It is considered to be a cutting edge facility for the design of contemporary fashion, textiles and jewellery and give inspiration to the next generation of designers. The museum houses permanent and temporary exhibitions and there is a small display featuring the designs of founder Zandra Rhodes.

The Shop@FTM is essential for anyone interested in contemporary fashion offering a range of the designers work, books, gifts, cards and prints.

Curator's tour:

On the last Friday of every month you can join one of the FTM's curatorial team for a free tour of the exhibition - guiding you through the highlights and key pieces featured. (excludes December)
