RAF Museum

 The Royal Air Force Museum is Britain's only national museum dedicated to aviation. It comprises of five huge buildings that contain over a hundred aircraft, artefacts, aviation memorabilia, fine art and photographs charting the history of aviation from early balloon flights to the latest jet fighters.

The Milestones of Flight –charts the great achievements of the first 100 years of aviation from day one to the latest Eurofighter Typhoon.

Grahame-White Factory – displays aircraft from the early days of aviation and includes a Sopwith Triplane, Hanriot and WWI SE5-A fighter.

Bomber Hall – depicts the development of the WWI bomber to the sophisticated machines of today.

Historic Hangars - listed buildings that were part of the old Hendon Aerodrome, house part of the Museum's collection of fighters.

Battle of Britain - tells the story of the world's first decisive air battle and the planes such as the Spitfire and Hurricane that won the war in the air.

Aeronauts – an extensive and exciting interactive area, the hands-on part of the Museum designed for children with over 40 interactive units.
